A couple days ago, I encouraged you all to ask me various questions about anything and everything (something funny, serious, interesting, a grammar or writing question you have always had trouble with, a question from your homework)
and I promised to answer. Donna came back at me with five great questions which I will answer in two parts. Here are the answers to four of those questions...
and I promised to answer. Donna came back at me with five great questions which I will answer in two parts. Here are the answers to four of those questions...
1. If you were an animal, what animal would you be and why?
I would choose to be an otter because I love to swim and otters always look so elegant in the water. Plus, they seem to be joyful, kind, and playful.
My runner-ups were a horse and a panther. I like horses because they are so strong and such beautiful creatures. They are also very gentle. I used to ride horses all the time and nothing felt more free. I also would like to be a panther because they are sexy and sneaky.
2. What one photograph would sum up your personality best?
This picture is of a corridor. I feel like my mind is a corridor with several doors and behind each door is a different facet of my personality. Depending on where I am, who I’m with, what I’m doing, certain doors are opened. If I’m in class, my personality is stoic, intelligent, patient, maybe a bit stressed, but always considerate and kind. If I’m with my friends, I’m bright, a little strange (because I know they can handle it), sometimes hyper and up for about anything. If I’m among strangers or people I don’t know very well, I’m quiet, shy, but I listen to everything. Mostly, everything behind the doors is good, if I’m mad or upset with someone, I just close all the doors and I leave them alone in dusty corridor.
3. If you could change one thing about the world in general, what would it be and why?
If I’m joking around, I’d banish all 3D movies and television! They give me a headache and I don’t like it! But, if I’m being serious, I’d want to teach every person on the planet how to read and write. Literacy rates are declining in an age where nothing should be more prevalent. Literacy allows people to learn and educate themselves when they do not have the means to go to schools or college. It promotes healthy thinking, it may allow someone to escape for a while, and it entices people to speak and share ideas. It’s so important, but many so not realize this.
4. Who is your favorite cartoon character and what makes you love him/her the most?
Kim Possible because she has red hair like me and she’s brave and kick butt. I want to be her.
Now, I'm still working on the last question. It takes a while to work out your perfect man, but I should have him finished soon! Until part 2!
PS. The offer still stands. Feel free to keep asking your questions!
Love it love it love it! I'm reminded of that Denis Leary comedy routine about what animals we can eat and what animals we cant. "Okay what can you do?" "I'm an otter and I do cute things!" "Okay we won't eat you." :) I'm so glad I didn't have to do the photograph one, that would have stumped me completely but the picture you chose is priceless! Agree with the literacy and my daughter agrees with the 3-D thing, she hates them too for the same reason. And finally, OMG you're going to laugh. It's an age thing....I've NEVER seen Kim Possible!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for your perfect man!
Thanks so much for answering all my goofy questions, I hope it was as much fun as mine were and are since I'm still not finished!
<3 Donna
Ha! That's hilarious, but it is true that we don't eat cute animals for the most part.
ReplyDeleteI think your daughter and I would get along very well. Lol. We're both creative and have a general hatred for 3D movies. :)
Also, I'm almost finished with my perfect man. I'll probably have it up tomorrow!
I feel like I could be Ron Stoppable. I hate 3D movies. They were better in the '50s. I wonder what you mean by "closing all the doors"? Do you just stop talking to them? What do you do if a person just annoys you?

Some typos: "runner-ups" should be "runners-up" and "fell" under the corridor photo should read "feel."
I've never heard anyone say that they would be an otter before! I think I would be a monkey!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through the Weekend Blog Hop! Have a great weekend.

Matt...My mom would tell you that when I "close the doors" I simply become aloof, just completely unwilling to be interested in something or someone. If I'm annoyed, I usually just give one-worded answers until the person gets a hint. My mom hates that too. So did my theater director. She once said, and I quote, "I know you are incapable of flirting, but I need you to play coy for five minutes." I laugh about it now.
ReplyDeleteAmanda...It's very nice to meet you. I hope to see more of you around here. I think a monkey is a great animal. They too are quite playful.
Matt again...lol. I just looked at the otter picture. Even when it's trying to be a badass space cadet or whatever it's still cute.
ReplyDeleteHa, so you've been annoyed with me a few times. I did get the hint. :)
ReplyDeleteDo you watch South Park? The otter is from an episode. It was sentient and was the leader of a race of evolved otters in the future who believed in a form of Scientology. He would often threaten to "crack your skulls upon our bellies."
I've been annoyed with everyone in my life at one point or another. Please, don't be offended. It just happens.
ReplyDeleteNo, I haven't seen that episode. It sounds funny though.
Cartman froze himself because he couldn't wait a week for the Wii to be released and wanted to make time pass quickly. He wound up thousands of years into the future. It's a two-parter.

They're actually atheists, not Scientologists, sorry.
Awesome. That's too funny.
