Thank you! and remember...SAVE THE BOOKMARKS!

COMPETITOR'S LIST:
Susan is still holding on so strong with a solid 60 books!! Rose is steady in second with 47 books!  I also must commend Poekitten who has jumped all the way up to 42 books! Shah and I are still duking it out for fourth place with 23 books! As are Kyria and Natalie for fith with 20 books! And, so are are A Womand's Right to Shoes and Selena for sixth with 15 books! YOU GO GIRLS!!! Michelle, dtwilight, Patrick, Moana, The Creative Muslimah, and Alissa are still standing strong. I'm proud of all of you and can't wait until the next update next month!

Also, feel free to discuss some of the books you have read or are reading! Is there any book you are truelly proud of yourself for reading? Anything you think everyone should be checking out? Anything you are looking forward to reading?

I'll tell you a bit. In these last few days I have finished "Elyon" by Ted Dekker and "Wanted" by Sara Shepard. I am particularly proud if finishing these books because they are both the final books in their series. Ted Dekker's "Lost Books" series had 6 books in total and Sara Shepard's "Pretty Little Liar" series had 8 books in all!!!! Crazy long series!!!! But so much fun.

Now, I am starting "A Game of Thrones" by George R.R. Martin. I heard so much about him while taking my science fiction and fantasy class, and with HBO starting a series based off of the books, I am so excited to start this fascinating set of 4 books! I'm only 3 chapters in and I already know I am going to love every bit of it!!!

So, TAG, YOU'RE IT!!! Fill me in on your reads!

  1. Woot! Woot! I can't believe I'm still winning, as I feel like my reading's been a little slow lately. I haven't read anything really, really great, so I'm not sure what to say about that ... However, I've heard tons of good things about A GAME OF THRONES. That one's definitely on my TBR list.

  2. Susan...Very cool. You are a reading machine in my mind! It's also cool to hear that you have heard about A Game of Thrones. It's a slightly older book from 1996 so I figured some people have already read it or have found interest in it because of the new show. Either way, I'm totally geeked about it and have been reading it every day. Definately make sure you have a family tree and a map next to you to reference at times though. That's made reading it so much easier. The 2011 Bantam Books Mass Market Edition came out with a box collection that has all 4 books for $19.99 and they have maps. I had to find a family tree online though.

Definately let me know if you find anything fun and/or you start reading A Game of Thrones!

  4. Hi Aubrie - Thought I'd be way behind actually, but not doing too badly it seems. I DEFIANTLY won't be winning with Susan in the game - but thats coolio. I'm happy to be in the middle somewhere. I'm not a very quick reader so it'll have to do. ;D shah. X

  6. I'd read "House of Leaves" while in grad school and loved it, but had wanted to read it through at a bit slower pace than I had time for while in school. I'd started and stopped the book about three times since graduation last year...and finally found time last month to read it through again. Loved it again--it was just as amazing as the first time I read it. It can be a bit of reading gymnastics (just flip through the middle of the book to see what I mean), but definitely work it.

And congrats on graduating!!!! So exciting!

  7. I am a relatively new follower, and I just started the bookmark break challenge (my page is under construction, but viewable right now). I just read a book I picked up a few days ago and was interesting, very much like the show Criminal Minds. Love it!!
