You Want Snow? I've Got Some For You!

I know that not everyone gets to have a white Christmas so I felt exceedingly gifted when I woke to the two feet of snow on the ground. Why would I ever be irritated because I was TRAPPED in my house when there is such a lovely sight right outside my window? Why? Yeah, I was joking. However, I am so grateful my father is willing to to tackle the storm so my mom and I can stay warm indoors.

Here are a few pictures...

A drift between my car and the pole barn.
The drift in front of our garage.
My bunny, Orin. The only one of us who is enjoying this weather.
My poor buried car.

So, for all of you who are missing snow, here's a little from me to you. :) Enjoy!

NOTE: Don't forget that there are only a few more hours left to vote on the latest poll! Go all the way to the botton of my blog to find it and add your input before I reveal the results tomorrow!

  1. Thanks for stopping by A CREATIVE SPIRIT... man you DO have snow.. glad you took some pics. We have about 2-3 inches and they say maybe 3-5 total expected... I AM THRILLED but of course I can get in and out of my driveway.

  2. The town I go to college in gets just about that much snow each winter. It makes everything beautiful but it's so slippery - I even bruised my tailbone slipping on black ice last year BEFORE the snow arrived! Lord knows what this cautious girl would be like if I had my driver's license and a car!

  3. Kim...Cherish the fact that you can get out of your driveway! lol. Actually, we can now get 2 cars out of the driveway. My dad was able to clear the drift in front of the garage and the pole barn. Unfortuntely, my car is still buried.

Sarah...I feel your pain. I have so done that before and a bruised tail bone hurts!

Ron...Thanks for stopping in. I'm glad you found my blog and I hope to see ya around. I'll take a look at some of your quotes soon.

  4. I had to "unveil" my car today just to make a trip to the video rental. Normally, a broom would have sufficed, but the snow was thick and caked on. At the rental, my car wasn't parked for ten minutes and the windshield was frozen over again.

  5. I'm not going to lie, when I saw the snow I had a very jealous feeling lol!! I want snow so bad. You are so lucky :) Thank you for posting the picture though it gives me hope that I will see it soon, fingers crossed!!

  6. Matt...That's the worse. It's different when you can just brush the snow off, but when you have to bash it with the handle of your brush or a snow scraper, it downright sucks.

Kate...You must really like snow. Ahhh, I guess if I didn't have it, I would miss it too though. :) I'll cross my fingers for you too.

  7. Damnit, why does everyone get snow but me and Kate -pouts- Orin is freakin adorable though! I wanna get bunny kisses! Arpeggio (my daughter's bunny) is binky'ing around the house like a crazy animal, of course I think it's because a cat is trying to play with his tail....maybe. Hope you guys stay safe and warm in the snow though!

  8. Yeah, someone in our county must have stolen all the snow and then had no place to put it, but in my front yard. lol. Yeah, Orin's a good bunny and he gives great kisses when he wants to; right on the nose too! (I LOVE it!) I wish he could run around the house all the time like your bunny. We let him in a lot, but since he is an outside bunny we can't let him get to warm. Plus, he has a fondness for electrical cords. (Yikes!) Anyway, we're doing good. My dad cleared the driveway, but it's STILL snowing!

  12. We had wonderful, sunny weather today. It must have been in the high 60's. Glorious really! But, rain is on the way in the next few days. I never knew that about flappers. That is so interesting! Where did you find the old photo? I also slipped and fell once over 2 years ago on my tailbone and it is STILL sore and sensitive. I wonder if it will ever get better. Sometimes if you sit too long you are in for some terrible pain.

  13. I live in Dubai and found myself look online yesterday for beautiful pics of all things snowy just to remind me of icy-cold Britain. We are spending the day at the beach tomorrow - how weird is that in December? X

  14. A day or two in the snow is fine and exciting. Good that you have your dad to help. What if there's no guy around and you're stucked?

  15. Teri...I miss the sun. lol. And 60 degree weather. Already! I just found the photo on google, but I thought it was so neat looking. Someone had it for a historical site of some sort. I hope your tail bone feels better.

Shah...That's pretty weird, but awesome at the sam time. One of my roommates was from Dubai and I assume she is back there now for the Holidays. She loved seeing the snow for the first time, but the fascination wore off when the weather dropped below zero. :(

Suertemom...I know! My dad is going to be gone for almost all of January due to travelling for work. he says he is going to teach me to use the snow blower for the really mild days and he's hiring someone else for the really bad days. So, hopefully it will all be okay. :)
